Laser Hair Removal

Unlike traditional hair removal methods such as waxing, shaving, bleaching or using depilatory creams that only provide temporary hair reduction, laser hair removal impacts the root of the problem providing permanent hair reduction.

Who can get laser hair removal?

This blend of wavelengths achieves a HIGHER level of hair removal FOR ALL SKIN TYPES! Every man and woman is different and will require a customised laser course of treatments. Our consultations are free so please book to discuss your concerns.

How does laser hair removal work?

During treatment, laser beams of the most common hair removal wavelengths (diode, alexandrite, or yag) pass through the skin targeting the hair follicles. The penetrating energy then heats up the root of the hair, which in turn prevents future hair growth.

How many treatments are required?

Hair is reduced with each treatment and results are observed after four to six sessions. The number of sessions will differ depending on your hair color, hair type, body area, and skin tone. Laser hair removal works best when hair follicles are in their mature stage; however, at any given time your hair is in various stages of growth, By treating it in multiple sessions, you can be assured you are targeting the hair at the right time for permanent destruction.

Is the procedure painful?

While you may not feel the heat, you may feel like your skin is being snapped with a rubber band.
How painful depends on the part of the body that’s undergoing laser hair removal. The more sensitive the skin is to begin with, the more painful it’ll likely be. Depending on the body part and your pain tolerance, you may not need any numbing cream at all but numbing solutions are available to maximize patient comfort.

What are common side effects?

Most of the side effects are mild, and they occur after the procedure. These include:
Redness; Swelling; Blisters; Hyperpigmentation or Scarring and Increased Risk for Sunburn.

Benefits of Laser Hair Removal?

Given the total cost of electric razors, blades, batteries, creams, the time involved in shaving or the monthly cost and time of waxing – it all adds up. It’s expensive and irritating. Laser hair removal is a perfect long-term and cost effective solution to get rid of unwanted hair. Not only does your skin become hair free, but also irritation free.
